1870 - 1880


Ernst Marks takes over the Korschefsky printing shop in Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany

1940 - 1950


Withdrawal of the right to produce newspapers by the British military governments.

1950 - 1960


Invention of the ready-to-use tympan sheets for letterpress printing machines and of a calibrated underpacking sheet for offset printing. First marks-3zet trade fair stand at the drupa printing fair.

1960 - 1980


Co-operation with the largest German manufacturers of printing machines: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, MAN-Roland, König und Bauer (KBA). Market leadership in Germany and later in Europe. Co-operation with 92 dealers in 87 countries.

1980 - 1990


Exclusive contract with TORAY Industries for waterless printing in the German-speaking countries of Europe. Development into a comprehensive systems supplier for waterless offset printing technology, including printing plates, printing inks, chemicals, processing machines and cooling systems.

1990 - 2000


Construction of the waterless printing centre and installation of state-of-the-art printing machines, for demonstration and training purposes as well as research and development. Establishment of the Print Consulting business division. At the end of 90s Takeover of marks-3zet by Dr. Jürgen Meyer and Start-up of CTP technology, with TORAY TAC and printing plate processors.

2000 - 2010


The company Reiff Zeitungsdruck in Offenburg starts production with a waterless KBA Cortina rotary printing press. The Genius 52 From KBA Metronic was presented at the GRAFITEC trade fair in Paris. Installation of a new Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 74-6+LX UV In the waterless printing centre in Mülheim. marks-3zet presents its new or high-speed processing machine at the IFRA Expo, which operates on environmentally-friendly principles.
